John Disharoon is retiring from Caterpillar. John has served on the Trade & Policy Committee since 2012. He has led the committee as its Chair since 2018. During his tenure, the committee has accomplished a number of significant activities including publishing the revised American National Standard for remanufacturing, successfully completing the council’s first ANSI audit, signing a letter to Turkey encouraging the purchase of remanufactured products, commenting on regulatory use of standards, and participating in the development of the ISO standard for Circular Economy.

Caterpillar’s presence on the Trade and Policy Committee will continue with Ann-Marie Padgett joining the committee. Nathan Duncan from Haldex Brakes and Ann-Marie will serve as the Co-Chairs of the committee.

Nathan Duncan is the Plant Manager for Haldex Brakes Remanufacturing Plant in Marion, NC.  Nathan has worked in Remanufacturing for three years with further experience in Mining, Mineral Processing, and Chemical Manufacturing.  Nathan’s main goal for the Trade and Policy committee is not only to further the Education of Companies to the value of Remanufacturing but lead in Advocating for further standard work practices related to the Remanufacturing Industry.

Ann-Marie Padgett is the Business Development Director for Growth Markets within the Remanufacturing Division at Caterpillar Inc. In this role, Ann-Marie leads Caterpillar Reman in developing specific market access strategies to penetrate closed markets and define growth strategies for existing markets. She advises on activities related to the acquisition projects at Cat Reman including private and public acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures; develops a thorough understanding of the Reman business and its contribution to sustainability, and developing growth strategies to achieve organizational goals. Ann-Marie previously worked at the Association of Equipment Manufactures and the U.S. Department of Commerce advocating for market access for U.S. companies.

Ann-Marie is looking forward to co-chairing the Trade and Policy committee to continue the great work of her predecessor John Disharoon.
