The Austrian subsidiary of SKF, the global giant in rolling-bearings and related technologies, celebrated Reman Day in style.

Under the theme “Reman, our Passion” the company gathered 30 employees for a session at its Industrial Services Center in Steyr, Austria. The center is in charge of industrial bearings remanufacturing for Europe.

“Remanufacturing is a major contributing element in reducing lifecycle cost of industrial equipment, giving overall benefits such as extended operating life of the component,” said Hannes Leopoldseder, the Industrial Services Center Business Unit Manager.

“SKF has decades of experience in remanufacturing. Our service centers offer professional capabilities to remanufacture key industrial components and sytems. Reducing negative environmental impact is an increasingly important issue for our society, and remanufacturing can be a significant contribution to improved sustainability by reducing natural resource and energy use.”

SKF’s remanufacturing operations are carried out at state of the art service centers strategically distributed around the world. “The centers are performing the service in accordance with procedures and processes defined by SKF to meet the quality and performance demands of the industrial components,” the company said.
